Ratchet Mechanism for Effortless Cutting: The ratcheting drive multiplies hand force, allowing the user to cut through large copper and aluminum cables with minimal effort. High-Hardness Jaws for Clean Cuts: The jaws are made from 60Si2Mn spring steel and heat-treated to 48-53 HRC, providing the hardness and toughness needed to shear through thick conductors without chipping. The blade surface is black-oxidized for corrosion resistance and reduced friction.
Wide Cutting Capacity for Power and Telecom: The tool cuts copper and aluminum cables up to 300mm² and communication cables up to 1000 pairs. This range covers common sizes in power distribution, substation wiring, and telephone network maintenance.
Durable Construction for Field Service: The handle uses virgin PVC for a secure grip, while the cover plate is 45# carbon steel with a black-oxidized finish. The fixed seamless steel tube handle provides rigidity and withstands the demands of daily field use.
Important Application Note: This cutter is designed for copper and aluminum cables only. Do not use it on steel cables, wire ropes, or other rigid metal conductors, as this may damage the jaws and void the tool’s intended service life.
